Ship’s Hatch began in 1973 with the refinishing and sale of authentic WWII Liberty Ship hatch covers. The hatch covers were transformed into tables, bars, desks, etc. That was many, many years ago.  Now Ship’s Hatch is much different.

Ship’s Hatch is owned and operated by Becky with a great deal of help from a very competent staff. Located in Arlington, Virginia near The Pentagon, the store is open six days a week.  We specialize in retirement and promotion gifts for all branches of the military.  The store is conveniently located just steps away from the Crystal City metro stop, close to shopping, hotels and restaurants and within walking distance of The Pentagon.  We offer unusual and unique military gifts using various military insignia.  Of course we carry nautical decorations, ships’ clocks, barometers, lamps, lanterns, bookends and a variety of nautical antiques as well.
